In brief
FRSHLD is designed to provide and improve the workout experience while collecting no more personal information than is reasonably needed for the purposes described here.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use FRSHLD workout information to build third-party behavioural-advertising profiles. Account/service communications and optional marketing are treated separately. You can contact us about your information and can request deletion of your account.
Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy applies to personal information handled through the FRSHLD app, the FRSHLD website and FRSHLD support/privacy communications.
Information we collect and why
Account and eligibility information
FRSHLD app accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. We collect the age confirmation used by the released onboarding. We do not collect exact date of birth unless the product is deliberately changed to require it and the policy/collection notice is updated.
Optional profile and demographic information
Information collected primarily for research/analytics should not be represented as mandatory for Build Workout unless the released product genuinely needs it for that feature.
Workout and fitness information
Depending on how you use FRSHLD, we may process:
- workouts generated or presented to your account;
- workouts you start, log or confirm as completed;
- supported actions such as Refresh and Swap and the alternatives selected;
- exercises, sets, repetitions and lifted weights you choose to log;
- saved workout history and previous-performance references; and
- account-linked preference/ranking signals created from supported FRSHLD actions, where implemented.
We use this information to provide workouts and supported alternatives, maintain the records/features you choose to use, inform later recommendations, secure/support the service and improve FRSHLD as described below.
Generating or viewing a workout does not prove that you performed it. FRSHLD does not independently know your unrecorded exercise, technique, actual recovery, injury status or health condition.
Workout/exercise records can be treated as fitness information by app-store privacy systems and may be protected as health information under applicable law depending on the circumstances. FRSHLD therefore treats these records as sensitive product information and does not use them for third-party behavioural advertising.
App usage, diagnostics and technical information
Where actually collected, this may include app events, app version, operating-system version, device type, crash/performance information, security logs and technical identifiers used by the providers listed below. The final published wording and App Store privacy disclosures must match the released SDK configuration.
Website information
This includes any hosting/security logs, contact forms, local storage/cookies, analytics or embedded services actually used by the public website.
Support and privacy communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you provide and use what is reasonably necessary to investigate/respond, provide support, verify an account request or handle a privacy complaint.
Do not send passwords, verification codes or unnecessary medical information. If you send sensitive information we did not request, we handle it in accordance with applicable law and our actual need for the information.
How and when we collect information
We collect information directly when you create an account, provide optional profile details, build/interact with workouts, choose to log or confirm training, change supported settings, contact us, request deletion or opt into an optional communication.
The app/website may also collect the technical and usage information described above through our own systems and disclosed service providers. Authentication providers supply the information necessary for the sign-in method you choose.
Where information or a permission is optional, we identify that choice. We provide privacy information at or near relevant collection points where required, rather than relying only on this full policy.
Programmed workout recommendations and personalisation
FRSHLD uses a programmed workout Brain to construct workout recommendations. It can use the training information available to FRSHLD — such as recorded/confirmed recent workouts and supported in-app actions — together with approved exercise, sequencing and prescription rules.
This is automated workout personalisation. It is not medical diagnosis or an individual health assessment, and it does not decide your access to healthcare, employment, insurance, credit, government benefits or legal rights.
The released Brain does not call a live generative-AI provider to invent workouts. If FRSHLD materially changes how automated systems use personal information, we update the policy/notices and obtain any permission or consent required before or when the change takes effect.
Where product analytics are enabled, they can be used to understand actions such as building a workout, refreshing/swapping, starting/logging/completing a session and returning for another training occasion. A screen view is not treated as proof that training occurred and a Swap is not treated as evidence of an injury.
A pseudonymous identifier can still be personal information if it can be linked back to a person/account. We only describe information as de-identified where it can no longer reasonably identify an individual.
Information outside the current product scope
The current product does not intentionally request as workout/profile inputs:
- precise GPS location;
- exact date of birth;
- body weight, body-fat percentage, body photos or other body measurements;
- medical records, diagnoses, injury histories or rehabilitation plans;
- contacts/address-book information; or
- advertising identifiers for behavioural advertising.
The current app does not connect to Apple Health/HealthKit or wearables to import health information unless that functionality is deliberately introduced and the applicable permissions, policy and store disclosures are updated first.
Lifted weights you voluntarily log are workout records; they are not your body weight.
These product limits do not mean an internet service creates no technical data. Device/network/server/provider information actually processed is described elsewhere in this policy.
How we use information
We use personal information for the purposes described in this policy, including to:
- create, authenticate, maintain and secure accounts;
- provide Build Workout, Refresh, Swap and other supported workout functionality;
- store optional workout history/logging and show previous-performance references;
- use supported recorded/confirmed training context to inform later workouts;
- provide support and respond to account/privacy requests;
- detect and diagnose faults, abuse, fraud and security incidents;
- measure and improve the core FRSHLD experience where applicable and permitted; and
- comply with lawful obligations and protect legal rights.
We do not sell personal information. We do not authorise FRSHLD workout information to be used by providers for their own behavioural advertising.
Storage and security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet/storage system can guarantee absolute security. We assess suspected incidents and make notifications required by applicable law.
Emails, analytics and privacy choices
Necessary account/service communications may include verification, account recovery, important service/security notices and responses to your requests. Creating an account is not treated as consent to promotional marketing.
If the app requests a device permission, the request explains its purpose. You can manage device permissions in system settings. Changing a permission does not automatically delete information already provided; use the relevant account/privacy controls or contact us regarding deletion.
Retention and deletion
FRSHLD retains personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy and applicable obligations. Detailed production retention periods and account-deletion procedures will be added when the account and storage configuration is finalised.
Access, correction, choices and complaints
FRSHLD will provide a dedicated privacy contact for access, correction, deletion and privacy complaints when public account services are finalised.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or another regulator with jurisdiction. This does not limit other rights available under applicable law.
Under-18 accounts
FRSHLD app accounts are intended only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly offer app accounts to people under 18. If FRSHLD becomes aware of an under-18 account, it may investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We update this Privacy Policy when our information-handling practices materially change and update the date above. We provide additional notice and obtain consent where required before or when a materially different use takes effect.
